Could I have had a mini-stroke?

I'm 33 and a heavy smoker. My right arm suddenly got weak and I can no longer write or grip things. I have no other symptoms. This has been going on for almost 3 days. Could l just have slept on it funny but then, isn't it kind of a long time for that? I do have a MRSA staph infection that is in my blood and have several sores that are being treated with antibiotics. Could MRSA cause this if there are no sores on my right arm? I also accidentally took too many Xanax several days ago. HELP!

Jack, I know you have a teeny penis but please learn to be nice and not vent your frustration at others.

Transient Ishemic Attack - TIA - is also referred to as a mini-stroke. Your history does indicate a strong need to see a physician especially with the complicating factors outlined!

Go to your doctor goofball.

Yep !! I hope so

My best answer would be to go see your doctor ASAP. if you cannot get into your doctor, then go to the emerency room. It is possible that it is nothing, but it is better to be safe than sorry. you should never just wait when your health is in question.

I guess you aren't very bright. You asked this yesterday. If you aren't smart enough to go to the friggin doctor.....well.....

It could be several nuerological problems, see a Doctor. it could be anything from Bell's Palsy to a stroke. Don't play around... Get seen ASAP.

Good grief! After all of that, I would be surprised if you DIDN'T have problems!

Yes, it is possible that you had a mini-stroke. I suggest you get yourself to doctor. And- I know you've probably heard this before- but quit smoking.

Good luck.
