Anyone with a Milk Allergy eaten successfully at a Red Lobster Restaurant?

I'm in a jam, I'm allergic to milk but my brother wants to go to Red Lobster for a special occasion. He knows I am allergic but he gets to go out so infrequently and it is such a big occasion that I don't want/can't really ask him to change his mind or tell him I can't go.

I checked their website and they only talk about seafood and fish allergies, they do give you a number to call and I'll try that later but was wondering if anyone has had a successful trip there? If so what did you eat and was it a hassel to order it?

My son is severely allergic to milk and Red Lobster in one of the 2 places he can eat out at. I always tell my server he is allergic, and then order something steamed, or if he gets chicken, I ask for a separate pan. I ask for no seasonings on the veggies (the fries are contaminated with milk in the fryer) or he gets apple sauce. We usually bring something for him to eat instead of the biscuits, too (since those smell so good). I make sure to say "no drawn butter", because the servers get in a habit of putting the butter on the plate. He usually gets the crab. He has never gotten sick from eating there, so I believe they are being careful. He has eaten there LOTS.

Good Luck!

I don't have a milk allergy, but my friend does. I'd suggest calling the number in advanced to find out how they prepare their food and if they could make special accomidations to those with milk allergies. I'd look at the menu at their site ahead of time to see if there's anything without milk products in the making. Stay away from the cheese biscuts they give you at the table. Maybe you can order one of the dinner saldas without the cheese. Or ask that they make sure that they don't cook your meal with dairy products or in butter.

yes,as long as he/she doesn't have allergy to seafood, and the food doesn't contain any milk product.
you'd better go to the hospital first and check this allergy rather than ask the restaurant about your possibility.
