Migraine?!? |
I've had a bad migraine ever since I woke up this morning, and it's gradually just getting worse. I've tried taking painkillers but nothing has helped. What can I do? I'm becoming DESPERATE for relief. I've tried to lay down and rest, thinking maybe it'd help, but it didn't. Please, please, somebody give me some advice. The fastest and safest way to get rid of headache or migraines is acupressure, a form of acupuncture without needles, -- (Shiatsu) quick and effective. Migraines take only about 5 minutes to get rid of. Infomercials like this answer are insulting to the spirit and purpose of this Q and A program. Report It when i got miraines pain killers didn't work either i just layed down and put a warm washcloth on my head where the pain was coming from try drinking some water. could be your just dehydrated. There is a new development in migraine therapy: I am 15 years old and have migraines throughout my whole life. If I have learned anything is that you have to learn when you are getting a migraine. I for example get blurry vision and occasionally numbness in my hand etc. If you experience anything like that immediately take ibuprofen. Although I have become immune to pain killers. If you did not manage to take pills, then there is nothing you can do. I recommend that you lie down in a quite room with the blinds shut and sleep. Sleep is the only thing that cures it completely. There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic. If you have never been "officially" diagnosed with migraines, you should pay your doctor a visit to make sure that it a migraine and not something else, especially if this is the first time you've had a headache like this, or if this is the worst it's been. That said, I've been suffering from these painful headaches from my early teen years and on. Try to stay away from light, smells (good or bad) and noise. I find that using a cold pack to the side of my head that hurts the most sometimes helps, and also laying on my back with my arm across my eyes. (I know that sounds goofy, but it helps, maybe it's a combination of blocking out the light completely and pressure points?) Again, I would highly recommend a trip to the doctor. They have many drugs that can be take at the onset of a headache or every day to ward them off. A good doctor should be able to find the treatment plan that will work for you. Good Luck |
