Sudden Migraine? |
My boyfriend just developed a sudden migraine out of nowhere and it's kind of freaking me out... He's never had a migraine before, and he says his eyes hurt and he can hear his heartbeat in his head. Now, I've had migraines before and know from personal experience that they do feel like this, but the fact that his came on so suddenly and how he has never had one before is what's worrying me... He hasn't had any head trauma at all, he just says his head starting hurting after we left a comedy show... Most of the info I can find online says a sudden migraine after head trauma is reason to go to the doctor, and that most migraines are sudden anyway. But I'm ready to throw him in the car and take him to the emergency room, but a.) he doesn't have medical insurance and b.) he'll flat out refuse to go. So, am I worrying myself for nothing? I'm afraid to leave him alone... Since he's never had it before, and you're worried, do take him to the doctor. At least they will confirm if it is a migraine or not, and you'll know what to do and have the medicines at hand should it happen again (touch wood!) get him to the ER. you can try a couple of things first....have him lay down in a dark area since light usually bothers people with migraines...make sure it is nice and quiet too. Get him a cool washcloth or towel and put it over his closed eyes. Some say that caffeine also help like coffee or soda. Good luck. First of he need complete rest. Some where he is over exhausted. His body system can not take it any more. Try EFT hello dear,u have to go to the gooood specialist doctor |
