Migraine medicine??

I spend almost $150 on perscribe migraine medicine. Do anyone know any over the counter pills that work best with a migrane. I used excederen migraine before, but someone else told me advil migraine works the best.

I get migraines on occasion and I find that Toradol works wonders for them. Toradol is available as a generic and is not too expensive (generic is called ketoprofen).

This may sound strange but caffeine is good for migraines. Goody powders have a lot of caffeine in them and work well. Sometimes, drinking a Coke will help.

You have to find what works for you and what your "triggers" are (what causes them). Many people suffer from them and they are debilitating.

By the way, Toradol is non-narcotic so it won't cause the euphoric effects that drugs such as Demerol and Percocet cause. It's also non-addictive.

I take vit B 12 every day- 250 mg, and magnesium 250 mg daily. They help reduce the number of migraines I get.

It really does help.

And yeah, when I get a migraine- I don't mind taking one of my expensive pills- migraines stink.

I think the excedrin migraine is the best; take two.

If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.
