Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus HELPPP!!!?

hey there,
recently i have gotten a small staff infection. This particular strain has been wondering around my house for about a year. My dad and mom have both had it badly and now I just came down with a case of it. My main question was how long can this strain live on counter tops and such. We've tried to clean everything but it keeps coming back. we don't share anything like towels. what can I do to get rid of this pesky bacteria?
Thanks :)))))

Surface disinfection tends not to work really well in this case. If it really is MRSA the problem lies not in surfaces or items in your house because the bacteria resides on your skin. The only thing you can really do it take care to clean all wounds very thoroughly and take care to wash your hands and take regular showers, etc.

the best thing u can do is wash your hands b4 eatting, cooking and after using the bathroom, couging etc. it is crucial to use soap and warm water and hand sanitizers will not kill MRSA. and clean with bleach

Bleach everything.
