Please i am freaking out...can you help???

i just got a call from my partner say they have...methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus now i am freaking out that i could have this...please i am on web md right now but if you know anything about this it would help out...

Trarenee well thank you for the boost of anxiety

Does the person have an open wound? Is the MRSA in the wound? Is it in the urine? It all depends on where the infection is.
I work in a nursing home and occasionally our residents test positive for MRSA. We use contact precautions only (gloves, etc) to ensure that we do not get it.
I don't think it's that big of a deal anymore. It can be treated.
Don't worry until you know more!!!

Try google to search about it...

coomonly know as mrsa. It is harmless unless you are immunocmpromised. you may be carrier so watch who you come in contact with. Treatable with a special antibiotic

I don't want to scare you, but you need to get to the doc asap. My aunt died from complication of this disease about 1 year ago. She was a nurse. She left behind 3 children ages 10-17.

Please go get checked it may or may not be serious, but why risk it? I hope you and your partner are okay.

I did not mean it to sound cruel, but she waited way too long when she knew something was wrong. I just hope you will get to the doc as soon as you can. I am truly sorry it sounded that way. I guess it just a hit a little too close to home for me.

there are other antibiotics they can use like rifampin. just make sure she gets treated, staph infections can be very serious. if he/she's young and healthy though she'll probably be ok.

Please get checked, girl. We'd hate to lose you.
