I've had 3 staph infections this year. Even after blood cultures show they're gone, they come back. Why? |
Within the span of a year, I've had three staph infections. I've never had staph before this year. The first was in my nose (where I had to go to the hospital). The second and third were on my legs and on my butt. The doctors never tested me for staph until the last time, in which they did a blood culture. After taking the antibiotics he perscribed, I was tested again...and it was gone from my blood stream. Two days ago, I felt a pimple on my back leg, and here I am again with another staph infection. I know that it's Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), but it's obvioulsy not leaving my body. Anybody else have problems like mine? Anybody know what I can do to pretent ingrown hairs/pimples to blow up? There are skin cleaning solutions you can buy over the counter. For your hands or legs or body, you can use Hibiclens, about $10. You can find a bottle of that at Wal-mart, Cost-co, or maybe K-mart, Target, or any drug store really. It kills bacteria on your skin. Also, hydrogen peroxide can kill bacteria...cheaper product. Not sure what else to suggest, other than seeing a doctor. Antibiotics are important but they also suppress your immune cells in its wake. Meaning, your immune system is not up to par. try adding essentail oil theives from young living |
