I was a Methamphetamine addict for a decade.? |
I healthy now but I'm not sure that I'll ever truly be free. Your thoughts? If you were my friends, family, or lover, would you take me back? any sort of depression can be tide over by faith in GOD and sincere prayer. It will always be a struggle but it will get easier as the years go by. Don't ever give in. Good luck and God bless. Probably not but, take it1 day at a time.Just remember how it stunk to be on that s**t.Good LUCK Nope, once an addict always an addict. Stay focused and get into a program like AA. Stay away from old places you used to get high and avoid those friends. if you really want to stay clean and you really do stay away from it then yes, eventually it does get better and you don't have the constant urge.. it's tough at first but if you stick with it it will eventually be better and you will feel so great about yourself and the fact that you've accomplished such a hard task. and trust me life is so much better without it.. yes ....every one dose dumb things if your family and love one truly love you they will all was be there for you you are going to have to tell your self over and over you don't need nor do you want it any more that stuff will mess you up real bad hope you will stay clean and god speed my friend.... I'm thinking you must feel lucky to be alive. Stay healthy and believe in yourself. You can be free. well first off, its great that you have gotten clean and healthy. you took a very important step in battling your addiction, you admitted you had a problem and got help. you will be free if you surround yourself with positive and encouraging people, people who won't judge you for your past. if you keep on the right track and continue to stay healthy and productive, then one day you'll wake up and realize that the addiction you had was in the past and doesnt define the person you are today. i wish you the best of luck!!!!!! and you should be proud for FREEING yourself from such an addiction. that is your first step of freedom ;) You may never truly be free, if you don't allow yourself to beleive that you can be. I know the desire can always reappear and the want to do it can be overwhelming, but you just have to stay in control and go to whatever extreme it takes to keep yourself free and the way you want to be. I am sure you have heard of the 12th step program, part of it deals with making amends, step 8. Work through the program , no big hurry, I was stuck on AA's step one for 13yrs. same here, for about as long. Been clean for just over two years and as destructive as it was, i still long for it. |
