Methadone im on for severe pain in both knees..was on 140 Mg's on 50 Mg's.now.i need opinions? |
is 50 mgs still to much..ive been on methadone 26 monthes..started at 10 mgs aday then after 6 monthges or so up to 140 mgs..now im down to 50 mgs..im wanting to get to 30 mgs then hold it there.....50mgs is taking care of my pain as well as 140mgs did...im on xanax..been on it longer than methadone..i was on 2 mgs aday till i started taking methadone...then both docters lowerd the xanax to 1 mg aday..that was lowerd at 140mgs methadone...now i shouyld be able to take at least 1 1/2 mgs of xanax..with the 50 mgs of methadone...ive been studing medicine for 15 yrs..on what i can read on and online!!! this subject i want some answers from the public...taking benzos with another ( cns) is very dangerous...cuz of hypovenalashion...like ( crib death..so i know this,,from my past studing on the problems...people pass away in there sleep,cuz they think they can up there dose even wile taking it for years...can i take 1 1/2 mgs with no worrys at this point in time????????..10 points asap only people who know about this please no, you can't safely increase your xanax while you are taking any methadone. The combination affects different people in different ways and there is no way to predict the outcome. You risk your life increasing your xanax. If you are on methadone you are to be weened off same with xanax. The methadone increases the effectiveness of the xanax. if you physician has you on 1mg of xanax witht he current amount of methadone you should keep it that way. if you increase the xanax you will hurt yourself. Please do not increase your xanax dosage, any dosee of xanax with methadone is dangerous. and as far as 50mg Im on 105mg but I go to a clinic for heroin addiction and not pain. If your comfertable where your at I would keep everything the way it is. |

I can tell you from experience. you can wean yourself off of the loritabs by cutting down on the daily amount you take. I do not suggest trading in loritabs for methadone. I have done alot of dr...
