Methadone and Soma and Lexapro.Adding that to my Methadone, will it sedate me more? Because I feel too sedated? |
I'm on 90 mgs of Methadone for about 5 months almost now. Started on 10mgs of lexapro 5 days ago, and am now adding the Soma. My doctor does not know that I am on Methadone when I got prrescribed the Lexapro and the Soma. It made me quiet more drowsy when I started on the Lexapro. Them today I took a soma And it made my methadone feel almost twice as strong. Which of the medicines do you think is responsible for making me so drowsy. Should I cut one of them off? I don't want to be so high I'm like a vegetable now. I take the methadone because I got out of using heroin and have not touched it since. Which I plan to stick to even though I know it will be hard but I did enough of that, and that phase of my life is complete. Now I feel Its the Somas that are really knocking me out mixed with the methadone. I got the soma for shoulder blade pain from a car accident I was in. I would really like it if someone or a profesional in the medicalfield could give any ansewrs or suggestions.thx Joe You ALWAYS need to tell your doctor(s) ALL the drugs you are taking so you don't get any drug reactions. Methadone mixed with soma will certainly make you sleepy. Lexapro is less likely to make you sleepy, but in combination with the other 2 drugs, it certainly can increase the effects--- and every one has different reactions to medications. Well this dude might be dead by now since methadone has a ssri in it he is risking serotonin syndrome since he added Lexapro. The soma is fine, whats making this dude messed up is all the dam extra serotonin. Report It I am not a professional but I do know that Anna Nicole Smith's son recently died from mixing methadone with antidepressants. Call your doctor ASAP! you need to try to get off of that and stuff but i know the lexapro does not make you sedated in anyway now the soma might but yiou might want to change that up but the methdone is not good to mix with anything at all. how about tell the prescriber all this? so he/she can properly exercise their professional responsiblities. 911 and Now. I'm surprised that you're able to type without falling asleep. You should ALWAYS tell your doctor, pharmacist, etc EVERY medication you're taking so that they can prescribe the best thing for you. I would suggest calling your doctor's office immediately and explaining the situation so that he can decide if he wants to switch you to something else or have you discontinue one of your meds. |
