Methadone and Alcohol combination? |
I am new to Yahoo qs and didnt realise you could write below the first line..veery blonde of me. SO in response to the person who called me dumb -well you're prb right! :) even if i take the methadone at 8am and have my frst drink at 8pm? Hon honestly you can have a couple glasses of wine. If you have adjusted to your dose and do not "nod" out or fall asleep randomly, then you are "stabilized" and will not get any more drunk than the next person. HOWEVER, your ability to drive might be a little more impaired, so be smart and call a cab or get with a friend. Dont drink anymore alcohol. The combination of them both can suppress your respiratory system. Yeah, be careful. Even though methodone might not give you a buzz any more, it is still a powerful opiate and something that shouldn't be mixed with alcohol. If you have 2 or 3 glasses of wine, you'll feel like you've had 6 or 7. |
