What kind of Doctor should I see to treat metabolic syndrome?

Endocrinoligist's treat metabolic syndrome

An Endocrinologist!

An endocrinologist. And a dietician.

Your doctor will give you a referral for this. .

My family practice physician treats mine. Ask your PCP about refering you to a doc that can treat you if yours can't.

A diabetologist or endrocrinologist. I think the two specialities overlap quite a bit and there are several doctors who have both specialities. A referral to a DIetitian would be a good thing too.

I would suggest an endocrineologist. The primary gland that controls metabolism in the body is the thyroid which gets its marching orders from the pituatary gland via the Thyroid Stimulating Hormone.

THE TYPE OF MEDICAL SPECIALIST THAT TREATS METABOLIC DISORDERS IS AN ENDOCRINOLOGIST.

An endocrinologist and cardiologist since metabolic syndrome also has a high risk of coronary heart disease.

Metabolic syndrome is just a collection of various signs and symptoms which put you at high risk for a number of diseases. You'll need a statin for the high cholesterol, blood pressure lowering medication for the high blood pressure, exercise for the weight, etc.
Your primary care physician can probably start you on what you need.
