Triglycerides and hypothyroidism?

My bf went into the hospital back in april i think after he drank too much and he has had stomach problems ever since. We got the results of his blood work a few days ago and his trigylceride count is 311. Normal is 50-149. He also has an underactive thyroid(if he doesnt take his pill everyday his thyroid almost doesnt work at all). I went back and looked at his other blood work results and in march his triglyceride count was at 91, in july it was 205. He also has bad cholesterol, his good is a little low and his bad is a little high. I went onto webmd and on there it said that having high triglyceride count can be a result of under active thyroid, and bad cholesterol and can cause heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and pancreatitis. Pancreatitis is most commonly caused by binge drinking(which he used to do). Could his binge drinking over the last 3 or 4 years have caused all of this? He has a doctor appt tomorrow, has anyone else been through this?

His elevated cholesterol levels are mostlikely thyroid related. He needs to take his thyroid medication daily and get his morning TSH round 1.0

I doubt the binge drinking has caused all ofthis, but it can lead to a host of trouble as your boyfriend ages. My husband's Dad died in his 60's, all do to his drinking. His heart was in bad shape, as well as his kidneys and h had stopped drinking 5 years earlier.
