I am on dieting and exercise and seen increased bowel movement. Is there any defiency? |
i am on my 3rd week of my cardio and strength training program. i was 200 pounds and lost 6 pounds so far . But at 3rd week , i found increased bowel movement as soon as i finish my food. this week i didnot loose any pounds. i am on 50: 30: 20 (Carb:Prot:Fat) diet. because of these bowel movement i feel like very tired and cannot proceed with the exercise. I am already have metabolic syndrome which means i should work very hard to get off my pounds. I think the increased bowel movement may be due to any mineral defiency . Pls help me Increased bowel activity is excellent! It shows that your abdominal muscles are doing their job. You need intestinal motility to keep healthy and prevent intestinal fibrous tumors and cancer. The strength training is building muscle tissue and flushing out toxins from your body. I am assuming the carb count comes from fruits and vegetables and not breads. Increased uptake of vegetables clean out your intestines and colon. Fats and fecal matter can cling to the inside of the colon. The roughage in the veggies cleans it out. That may be what you are seeing. In any case this is a good thing, it means your body is kicking into gear and getting rid of toxins and excess fat and building more efficient muscle tissue. More likely that the increased activity is assisting movement of food through your digestive system. That would be a good thing. It could be a speeding up of the movement of food (decreased transit time) through the intestines because of your increased activity and general diet changes. It wouldn't hurt to take a quality multivitamin and mineral tablet to ensure you are getting all your micronutrients. Ensure that you rest for an hour after meals and don't drink with main meals to improve your digestion. continue to drink plenty of water that is important it helps flush out your system |
