My friend continues to argue that the atkins diet is good for people, especially those with metabolic disorder |
rebut his point. it helps people lose weight in a short period of time, but as soon as people start adding carbs back into their diet they usually gain weight back if they don't exercise. it basically puts people into a metabolic acidosis. hence the bad breath. i think that there are much better diet plans. i like the zone diet idea. it lets you eat carbs, too. The Atkins diet is a really good diet the problem comes when people change it into something was never meant to be like a diet of Hamburgers without buns and tons of bacon. If you follow Doctor Atkins to the letter then your ok but if you do a hybrid Atkins your asking for a heart attack And the one person who said that Dr Atkins died of a heart attack is wrong he died after after an accidental fall on April 8 2003 left him comatose. Please check your facts people That is why Atkins died oa a heart attack, tell him that. A diet low in carbs is bad, then your body resorts to burning muscle mass.. heart.... because it dosent have carbs.... bad diet. Human brains don't function properly without an sufficiant amount of carbohydrates. |
