Has anyone had Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD)? |
I have a child with a very rare metabolic disorder which can cause severe brain damage from simple infections such as the common cold. I want to go ahead with PGD, I was wondering what the cost of this is? I will be doing this in Australia as I heard that they are world leaders with this technology as they take the cells from a blastocyst the part that forms the placenta. I haven't had it done, but I do know ball park prices b/c it was offered to me with my IVF treatments. From what I recall it ranged from $500-$1300 depending on the clinic. |
