Can you still clam composation even if a family member has just died from mesothelioma? |
my dad found out he had mesothelioma on the first of march and he was going for a little operation to see how far it spred but on the day of the operation he died can i still clam even thought he has died Well, it depends on how he contracted asbestos poisoning. You (or whoever is your father's Executor) will have to contact a lawyer. They won't charge you for the consultation, and if they decide you have a case, it won't cost you any money up front. Their payment would come out of whatever money you were awarded. Yes you can. You father should have had a post mortem if he is suspected to have died due to asbestos poisoning. The findings from the post mortem can be used as evidence to back up your claim. Good luck. It may be possible, but you would need to discuss the case in detail with a lawyer. I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. Losing a loved one is never an easy thing. |
