Amalgam, Mercury Poisoning... What to Believe? |
Well since mercury is the third most hazardous substance known to mankind, I'm worried that I have too much of it in my mouth (I have about 5 fillings). I don't know who/what to believe websites like iaomt.org and amalgam.org make me want to pull out my teeth. It almost makes sense too, because it seems that people are contracting more and more unexplained illness. My father was a dentist. He had some silver amalgam fillings placed in his teeth when he was a boy - back in the 1920's. When he went to school - in the 1930's - dentists mixed silver and mercury in the palm of their hand! He worked with silver amalgam fillings for his entire career. In about 1985, after 45 years in private practice, he decided to get tested for mercury. I do not know what units the lab was using, but his report came back reading: follow science not internet science. Pay close attention: Those whining about how dangerous amalgam fillings are, are the LAWYERS who are trying to make money by SUING the dentists and manufacturers of the amalgams. Every dentist I have ever seen had silver (amalgam) fillings. That alone speaks volumes, because you KNOW they could afford whatever type they wanted. Although this is rare but just to let people know that Lisa Marie Presley almost died from Mercury fillings in her teeth . She went to hundreds of Doctors and it was a Homeopathic Doctor who found out what was causing her extreme illness . After her mercury fillings were removed she became healthy again . Probably going to a doctor who'll send you to a lab for blood test. There's no cheap way to find out if it's in toxic levels inside your body.Start saving your money and get the fillings taken out one by one by a reputable dentist who is experienced in dealing with mercury removal safely. It's expensive but your health is worth it.( I have only 2 mercury fillings left and looking forward to getting them changed out to a healthier product.) I am in a dental assisting class and we practice all the time with Amalgam fillings (the kind containing mercury). When we have left over amalgam we have to put it under water and it has to be disposed of. Thus, yes, it sounds rather insane to have it put in to your mouth. However, your mouth is nearly always moist so maybe that is why it won't hurt us. |
