Can you tell me anything about having Asburger's AND Moderate to severe Mental Retardation.....?

Having BOTH together is very uncommon. Asburgers isoften accompanied by regular to high IQ levels. I can not seem to find any information. Thanks.

It might help if you spelled Asperger's correctly when searching for information. That said, you're right, people with Asperger's tend to have normal to high intelligence. Why are you interested in people with Asperger's and mental retardation? I'm imagining you know someone who got diagnosed with both? The main reason for that (I think) would be that the onset for Asperger's is a couple of years later than for autism, but I don't know. I'm thinking there's a fair chance that whomever has both has been misdiagnosed and actually has autism, in which mental retardation is normal. You didn't give enough information though, so I'm just making assumptions here. I'm thinking the treatment and prognosis for Asperger's + mental retardation would be about the same as for autism, but I'm not sure.
