Sectioning mental health act assesment....?

Mental health act assesment (they tried to section me!)?
Last week i assulted someone who i live with - the next day i had a caseworker come over telling me she was going to ask for a mental health act assesment, because she was worried i would hurt someone else.
Is this right? Not everyone who assults someone has two doctors and a approved social worker come try lock them up!!
Thank god they decided it was not necessary.
I think its fuked up!

Hmmm. Difficult one to call, really.

I don't work in Social Care myself, but I've got mates that do.

And I dunno what to say, really, cos I can see that you're going through something at the moment.

I really think that you should ask for some help, though. I just don't want it to work out for the worst, either for you or those you live with, and who are trying to support you.

Hospital's actually not the worst outcome... maybe you could admit yourself? Just have a bit of time out somewhere supportive for a while.

I realise you're feeling really freaked out, but what about the person you assaulted? And maybe it's better that they got doctors in rather than Police. It sounds like they're trying to help you.
