Is mental health counseling the same thing as therapy?

I am looking for a therapist, but the menu on my health insurance provider doens't let me search for a therapist.
It offers Mental health counseling and Licensed professional counseling, do either of these me therapy/

One thing that I stress to people is that sometimes it takes talking to a few different therapists before you find one that you may be comfortable with. Try going to the Licensed Professional Counselor. Those are pretty much the same thing as therapists. They have different qualifications, but do the same things for clients. Sometimes they are even better qualified than therapists at helping with life problems, since they've often studied and seen a wider variety of people.
