Mental Health Dr . Appt? Questions? |
I have been going to a mental health center latlely to talk to a counsler... I now have a meeting with the doctor for meds.. What kind of things does the doctor do ? does he ask questions or what? Yes. They just talk to you and many times they make you understand that the things that you think have affected you negatively in your life aren't the right things at all. I went for anxiety attacks and my Dr helped me so much by helping me to work through problems that I never even realized bothered me as bad as they did. He also gave me meds to get my serotonin levels up to normal and I feel great now. Yes. The doctor will be asking you questions and checking your history to make sure that the drugs that he is planning to prescribe to you are not going to hurt you and that they are going to be the best option for you. Dont worry the doctor will not hurt you! Don't worry. If your doctor is anything like the ones around here, he will try to give you so many brain-numbing meds, it will take the rest of your life just to fill all the prescriptions. |
