Mental health evaluation - - family court/ custody/visitation?

What's the usual format for a forensic mental health evaluation done to determine custody/visitation proceedings used in family court? Thanks!

depends, but they will likely do clinical interviews, interview people who know you, give you various personality/psychopathology/IQ/parenting assessments, such as the MMPI-2 and WISC-IV, and maybe observe you with your children.

Wow, could you be a little more specific?

I am not totally sure what you are looking for, but if it is a clinical evaluation, then it will be a simple conversation type format. You may never even know (other than you know why you are there) that you are being evaluated. You will be asked simple questions about yourself or your lifestyle, or habits, or maybe beliefs or even past experiences. It won't seem like much, but the evaluation comes from the professional interpretation of your answers.
