i always bleed a lot during my second and third day of menstruation,how to i get a lighter blood flow around that time

You can't naturally control your bloodflow. I wouldn't suggest going on birth control just because you desire a lighter period. Birth control can do some crazy stuff to your body, and should be avoided, in my opinion.

Just be prepared and have a happy period. : )

have your Dr.put you on Birth control to regulate your periods

you personally cant do much. drink lots of water, try ibprofin (it can help thin the blood) other than that, you can go on the pill. some will actually lower you flow rate. dont count on it too much tho. i've been on 3 differnt brands (not for the same reason you're looking for) but i never got that "side effect"

To be honest I don't think you can. I have that same (if you want to call it problem) when I am on mine. It starts off light and gets heavy at the end. I do not know what it says for you, but usually that's how I know it's the end of my period. I don't know how long yours last, but mine only last about three days, four tops. Try asking your o.b. if there is a birth control pill that you can take to stop the heavy bleeding, because it all has to do with hormones.

I don't think that is a good reason to go on the pill....cancer risk is increased by it. I wouldn't worry about it and not cause yourself more problems.
