Menstruation Drama? |
i'm 19 and i have not had my period for 7 months and for the past 4 months have been consulting my GP. i've done about 8-10 bloodtests for hormones, nutrients, etc etc to check if i'm alright, i've also gone for pelvic ultrasound. A month ago, my GP forwarded me to a specialist who is also a gynae- i was told that my body has shut down and refused to function causing everything to not work. and thank goodness i don't have PCOS. she gave me loads of advice, and refused to give me any pills to promote my menstruation as she wants my body to help itself. You said your doctor gave you loads of advice and it seems like you started off by not taking any advice since you went and got something to try to trigger your body. Give it time, you've had alot of tests and you may have set your body back a bit by doing the 2 pill thing. Try to relax and get your mind off of your period, or lack of, and go on with the other aspects of your life. Keep going to your doctor and this time please take her advice and it will sort out in the end. Alot of women go through this not only one time in their life. Go have some fun now. Was this brought on by low body weight? Stop worrying. The simple stress you are putting onto yourself worrying about this could cause the absence of your period. have a warm bath, try to relax. Wear a pair of white pants, that will surely bring it on ;) Feel better soon sweetie it will all work out Are you very underweight? Do you overexercise? These can stop menstruation. I would Start taking vitex if I were you. You can get it from the health food store. It is very safe, and does not have any hormones in it. maybe u should just waiat 4 ur body liek u were told. wow, i would go to another dr. seriously. your body shutting down isn't something to take lightly. chance are you are fine... you're still young and sounds like you have fairly competent docs. hormone issues are touchy, nothing is fool proof, some people are just that irregular and perfectly healthy. Try going to another doctor if your still worried, not every doctor knows what they're talking about. Until then just wait another seven days. Some women are not regular but stress will not help this problem it can make it worst. So find something to do that will help you get rid the stress. If your weight is an issue do what you can to gain the weight and follow the advice of your doctors. If there is something wrong then you may make it worst by trying to self medicate. |
