Menstruation Question?

Why is it that menstruation causes such a wide variety of problems. Like, cramps, fatigue, nausea, migraines, and tons of other stuff. I don't understand how something that is supposed to be natural for your body does so much damage..the same for having a baby. But that's not in my question. Any ideas on why it effects so many different areas of your body and so much when it's a natural process?

So...the endocrine system is what causes all these things right? Systematic?

Menstruating is completely hormonal. You're endocrine system monitors everything about your body and when there's a severe difference in hormone levels your body reacts to defend itself. Completely natural...just more severe cause you dont just stub your toe. You shift major hormones!

The endocrine system controls all the hormones of your body. When that's affected you're going to feel it...some more so than others. Report It

Very good question, I will be checking back to see the answers. Some women do not have the bad symptoms you describe, but I am one that does and always have. Started at 9 and I am 34 and very tired of all of it.

Because of the change in hormone levels. If the cramping, and nausea is so severe that you can't function please see your doctor for further evaluation.

Your body wants to be pregnant. Because we have so many methods of birth control available to us we have far more periods than our ancestors ever did. They spent most of their lives either pregnant or breast feeding - so no periods.
