Possibly Meningitis?

I was diagnosed with a Sinus Infection with bad allergies about 2 weeks ago. The symptoms i have are a throbbing/pulsing (not headache pain) in my head mainly in forehead, temples and across the middle of my scalp. Also i have swelling in my neck all the way around, not just in the front where the glands are located.

My mom is more worried about me having meningitis because i have not gotten better. Also she noticed i had acouple red spots on my chest. These red bumps could just be from in grown hairs due to I shave my chest but nonetheless she is worried.

I was on a Z-pack but it messed my stomach up something awful so i quit. Im not on anything else for the infection.

I'am going to the doctor next week for a follow up and I'm going to mention meningitis to the doctor so that we can test for it. I'm really just going to ease my mom's mind. It acts like a sinus infection because when I take Zyrtec-D the pulsing in my head and the swelling of my neck decrease

What do you think guys?

dear i am a doc so listen...this is deffinatly not a meningitis but a misstreated bad sinusitis.nothing more so plz listen it is risky to wait till next week to go to the doc again and u have to spare your suffering and prevent complicatios.go to the pharmacy and buy
1ciprofloxacine(cipro).750 by 2. or augmentine 625 by 3
as available 1st is better if u r above 16 years.
2 panadol sinuses or ny combination of tylinol and decongestant
3 actified tab twice daily
4 nasal drop for decongesion.
stay in bed and take alot of fluids.
any time dear

Meningitis can turn fatal in a couple of hours. if ur mom is concerned then u should go now and not wait till next week. i know someone who last their life with in a matter of a day because of it and there were no 2 weeks of being sick before hand but its better be safe if u mom thinks it might be

meningitis usually develops very rapidly and is very serious. if you had meningitis you would get very sick fast also you would have a stiff neck abd a sesitivity ti light. if you have alergies this is actually a immune response to somthing that you are allergic to. this would somtimes give you swollen glands and this could account for the swelling in your neck. you shouldn't stop taking your medicine without telling the dr. this is where we are developing the super bugs that you are hearing about in the news

Can you bend your chin all the way down to touch where your neck and chest connect? If not, there is a good chance it is meningintus. Since you have swelling around your neck, it is definitely something that you should be seen today for. Go to an ER. If it is meningitus, you would be dead before you saw that Dr. next week.
