Cold or Spinal Meningitis?? |
My friends newborn cousin who at 10 days old got spinal meningitis. She wasn't acting right on sunday then they rushed her to the hospital on monday. I was over at their house for a few hours when she was there. My friends mom has been watching the newborns sister who is 3. My sister had a small cold, stuffy nose for about two days. Now me and my little brother have stuffy noses, and I don't feel good I just want to rest. I still have my apetite, BUT the thing im worried about is my neck, it kind of hurts when I turn it. Did I sleep wrong on it or am I showing early signs of spinal meningitis? If you try to put your head down (so that your chin is touching or almost touching) and it hurts, or is really stiff, then get checked for meningitis. Symptoms of meningitis include stiff neck, headaches, loss of appetite, lethargy (sleepiness), fevers, joint pains, vomiting, etc. if you have any neck tenderness mostly when putting chin to chest you need to go to the ER they can run tests and you feel reassured . awe I hope everyone is feeling better. i'd go to the dr asap or the ER to find out whats gonig on and hope its not menigitis. i think its just a cold. get better |
