MENINGITIS !!! PLEASE HELP PLEASE HEALTh NECK !!!!?

Hello Everyone!

Okay when i woke up this morning i think i was fine, well my nose was stuffed up etc ..but nothing serioius. ..but around 6ish 7 pm i took a nap and when i woke up my neck on the left side hurts really bad , it feels like i pulled something ..but im not sure and i don't want to take it serious if its nothing ...I don't know if i pulled it in my sleep , but when i turn my head / neck i feel like something is popping and it hurts really bad ...Do i have meningitis ..I have always had a fear of this illness but i doubt thats what it is...please help ! Thanks so much !

I had meningitis when I was 10 years old and the symptoms were....

-Vommiting
-Headache
-Sore Neck
-Sensitivity to Light

if you have none of the other symptoms than the stiff neck, then I think you just slept on it wrong. Use a heating pad on your neck, and it should be fine in a few days. If you are really paranoid about it, then go to a doctor, but I don't think you have anything to worry about, and I have been there.

What you have is a good ol' fashioned muscle spasm of the neck. I bet you sleep on your stomach? am I correct. In any event you slept in a postion to cause the spasm, go to a chiropractor to get adjusted.

Meningitis comes with other symptoms too. A high fever, red pin pricks all over and you wont be able to put your chin to your chest. Sounds like a cramp in your neck. Use some icy hot or A535....hope u feel better soon.
