A question regarding Meningitis? |
So I was at a party in the Greeley area last Saturday night. Now I see on the news that a girl in Greeley died of Meningitis on Tuesday. She wasn't at the party, but now I'm sick with flu-like simptoms. Apparently Meningitis has symptoms that can be mistaken for the flu. Well, I don't have health insurance, so I'm just wondering what I should do. The type responsible for killing the girl was bacterial meningitis. I also have a minor headache. My neck is slightly stiff, though that may have been caused by laying on the couch all day yesterday... Flu is much more contagious and dangerous. Keep your hands clean, and pay attention to the news. If other people you had contact with come down with it, you can suspect that you have it. If you honestly suspect that you have it you really need to go to the doc, they will do a spinal tap and check your spinal fluid. |
