How to treat meningitis? |
My son had been hospitalized for a moth because of meningitis. He was given antibiotics for 21 days. He completed the 21 day medications. Does he still have meningitis? I do not know how old your son is, but I had meningitis when I was 23. I am 29 now. It depends on what kind he had whether it was bacterial or viral. It he has gone home and is in your care then you should be in the clear. I was told that it is possible to still carry the gene for the virus which can be triggered at any time. I have not had any problems what so ever since my first bout. Hope all is well... Hopefully he was cured and the bacteria killed. They may re-test him to determine this. |
