Do I have meningitis?

Alright, I know I should visit a doctor but I was hoping that someone could tell me if I probably have meningitis or not. I have a pretty stiff neck and my back sorta hurts and I had a fever of about 101 but it went away yesterday. And a few days ago, I had a sensitivity to light and was very nauseous. Now I have a mild headache and it kinda hurts when I stand up or sit down. I'm also not very hungry. And my right ear feels funny, I can hear out of it but it feels different. Overall, I feel better than yesterday and yesterday I felt better than the day before that. But I started hearing about meningitis from a friend and now I'm worried. Any help?

The only way to be sure is to go to a Dr. but since you know that already...

Is your neck stiff when you move it from left to right or up and down. Up and down stiffness is a sign of meningitis. Also, where is the pain. Pain in the middle of the back of the neck is an indicator of meningitis. Anywhere else is usually muscle soreness. Your headache would usually be severe and your fever wouldn't usually go away. Did it go away on its own or did you take a fever reducer? Based on what you say, you definitely don't have bacterial meningitis as you would be near death right now. You could have had a case of viral meningitis that's clearing up on its own. You never know though because atypical presentations do exist.
