I had the meningitis vaccine monday, and now the injection site is swollen red and numb and hurts when i touch |
becouse the injection site is swollen into a big red lump and is numb and hurts when i touch it, does that mean that im allergic to it>??? No, no , no. No home remedies. Make an appoinment with your doc TODAY! when i had my vacine i didn't have any side effects. You definatly need to go see your doctor or go to the emergency room. Ice it then put warm teabag on it Skin will show a reaction against drug eruption. If your vaccination is subcutaneous than it is mostly normal. the swelling at the sight of the injection is normal. If you begin to develop a rash, fever, or headache, or if the area continues to swell call your doctor immediately. call your doctor and discuss it with him/her! First things first STOP touching it. Then call ur doc and ask him or her if u should come in to see them and tell them about ur dilemma or let them ee it for an evaluation. Site reactions to vaccines are common and this includes swelling and soreness. But, you should call your doctor to let them know and to ease your worry. They should have told you of possible side effects when you got the shot. You can also try this website for info. about the vaccine--there might be some info. there. http://health.divinfo.com/ Check out this website. I found it very useful for a similar problem. |
