Meningitis vaccine?

I'm scheduled to have a meningitis vaccine. I just wanted to know what to expect. Is it just a shot or what? It's going to cost me $185.

Thanks!

Are you really sure about this.
There are two fields of thought. One is that of the medical profession, most of whom have not studied vaccines, and do not know how they work, which recommends vaccines for all sorts of diseases.
Another field of thought is that the evidence, when closely studied, shows that vaccination does not provide protection against disease, and in some cases, like polio, is now the sole cause of disease. Additionally, there is mounting evidence that the ever-increasing cancer epidemic is caused by excessive use of vaccines.

I have been to thirty countries and never been vaccinated for anything. I have never caught any disease. The few people whom I have come across who have had a disease have all been vaccinated against it.
I would NEVER have a vaccination of any kind, and I would not let my children have one. If somebody or some country insisted on it, I would avoid that country.
Vaccination is a complete hoax! And in this case, a very expensive one.

Very important to get. My boyfriend almost died from this. There are a few different things you can do. I think once exposure happens you can take a pill form vaccine. There is also a shot you can get.

it's just a shot; my daughter had one last fall and didn't have complications; the site might be a little sore; you can take Tylenol before the shot to minimize the discomfort;

hi i am a fifth year medical student ..
meningitis vaccine is given as a shot in the arm (intramuscular) , its effect lasts for 2 years .
Usually it is given for those who intend to travel to 3rd world countries , or in overcrowding situations (ex.military , camps, etc..).
