My mom got an MRI done and they think it is meningioma??

My moms MRI came back and was told by her Dr and her neurologist that it is a probable benign calcification or meningioma. She is having no symptoms at all.
A very reputable radiologist read the MRI.
They say people might not even know they have this condition unless it is accidently found.
..they told her they wanted a cat scan done with contrast to double check.
I am sooo close with my mom and I dont know what I would do if it was something worse.
Are MRI's usually accurate??

Ya they are..
The thing with MRI's is that they show you everything..
And sometimes they miss someething..
Thats a good thing and a bad..
The good thing is they could say oh wait thats not what
it is.
Its something else..
But then again they could find something else wrong..
But listen all you can do is pray for her.. Thats the most u can do and thats the only thing that can help..
So just keep her in your prayers and remember to be there for her if she needs anything...
Show her you are there for her and love her..

She got the cat scan results back and she is going to be fine!!!
I prayed so hard.
Her meningioma is the size of a marble and has probably been there her whole life. That is how slow growing it is.
They just have to keep an eye on it every 6 months.
What a relief. Report It
