Cost of Gamma Knife treatment?

My mother has been diagnosed with Meningioma and needs to have either a surgery or a Gamma Knife treatment to remove it. Has anybody had any experience with Gamma Knife? How much could a procedure cost at least roughly(regardless of insurance)?

Like any type of surgery, it would depend on location, and how long it would take to do the surgery. An approximate cost might be $7000 - $10,000 which is a savings compared to open surgery which would cost around $35,000 or more. Your mother would need to qualify for a Gamma Knife surgery, though, as not all cancers or tumors can be done this way. I've heard good reports about the Gamma Knife. Check to see if insurance or medicare will cover the associated costs of the treatment.

sorry k I don't know...
but has your Mum ever tried spiritual healing? if you're in the US, there are lots of wonderful places that could help.
becos it focuses on all the energy points of the body, it'd "help" with all illnesses but I'm not saying it is a replacement for conventional medicine. One thing I do know about it is the illness is recovered depending on how much the person is ready to recover (for example if someone suddenly recovered from a major illnes it'd be very shocking)..
please email me if I can be of any help
pray for her & leave all in God's hands
