Meniere's disease and hearing? |
I've had meniere's disease for 6 years. I've had a shunt put in my ear and have had some hearing loss. I'm curious if anyone else who has this problem hears themselves when they talk. Sounds weird I know, but it's like an echo in my ear that sometimes drives me nuts. I was also not aware that this might cause problems throughout my life. I figured that the shunt would take care of everything, but within the past year I have had problems with labrynthitis and tinnitus. Anyone with any input would be helpful. You may or may not like him as an individual but Rush Limbaugh has a variety of information and advice available on his web-site. He has Menieres and is doing many things to assist in education and cure seeking for the disease. God bless you. |
