Anyone know about meniere's disease? |
My best friend has been living with meniere's disease for a long time now. She has bi-lateral meniere's disease, which means it's on both sides. She had severe attack's and was dealing with her disease for a long time, and then a couple of years ago she had surgery called "labrynthectomy" And soon after was told it had gone into the other side too. She suffers all the time, but its sometimes worse than others, like when she is sick for example. She gets frusterated with having to live with this disease every day, I can understand that it would be very frusterating, especially considering there is no cure. I'm wondering, does anyone know of this disease? or does anyone have it? and I'm also wondering does anyone have any good web sites they can recomend. One last question, what will happen next? does it get worse? or can she stay the same? I understand it doesnt get better, but does it have to get worse? any information would be great. Thanks everyone, Carrie, I'm sorry to hear about your mother, I know its a tough disease, I've watched my friend deal with it for years, she can't even work anymore. I hope your mom is ok. See: My bosses wife was diagnosed with it three years ago. She had a really bad bout of Vertigo was how they found it. She has good days and bad days with it. From what I understand she has it on one side, and was told it could go to the other at any time. I have not seen much information on it, but I know she stays dizzy alot from it. Good luck to your friend, God Bless. i think its an ear disease my mom has it and she has it in both ears but she never had any operation but she used to get real sick but something to do with her getting a hearing aid it helped her greatly tell your friend to speak to her doctor hope this helps |
