How does your Meniere's Disease impact your life? |
Do you have it and how did it develop?O f course no one knows what will happen. I've been recently diagnosed and have been reading a lot of worst case scenarios. Did you lose your hearing ? How quickly? What was your longest stretch of vertigo? Yesterday I had the ear fullness and things sounded funny-even my own voice. How do you not FREAK out? I have also had migraine since I was 5 and am told Dr.'s believe there is a conncetion. Does this mean I'll be a worst case scenario because of all the damage already from migraines? I have done alot of research on the net since being diagnosed about 11 years ago. My doctor said I would be deaf. He even seemed disappointed when I didn't lose my hearing. Needless to say, I switched doctors. Alot you read on the net is depressing. But, I found that there are several different types of this disease and to treat it properly you need to know which you have. I have the fullness and my problem is that the fluid stayed in my ears, thus I had frequent ear infections. Vertigo comes and goes. I know of 10 people around me that have Meniere's and all are similar yet different. Good luck. sadly i have it. it made me sterile, and you can get it through any contact. my legs bones grow abnormally. and my arms are no longer functional. the doctor says i will die at an early age of around 35 - 40 ish |
