Menieres Disease ?

Does anyone know if Meniere's Disease is common with those suffering from Epilepsy ?

No, there is no connection.

Epilepsy is a sudden burst of excess electrical activity in the brain, causing a temporary disruption in the normal message passing between brain cells and thus seizures. Whereas Menieres Disease is an imbalance of the fluid in the inner ear, causing vertigo (the feeling of room spinning), deafness, nausea/vomiting and balance problems.

my mother-in-law has it but she does'nt suffer from epilepsy. She does have high blood pressure tho.

There is no known relationship between Menieres and epilepsy.

I have Menieres but I don't have epilepsy.

As far as my research over the years there is no connection.

Menieres effcets the inner ear and the balance because of excess fluid and damaged areas. Not because of any brain injury.

no it has nothing to do with epilepsy, my niece has it
and she had such a bad turn a few years ago that she has now lost the hearing in one ear
and cannot listen to music any more which she loved especially Elvis
