Can vertigo in Meni茅re's Disease be worsened by head position? |
I have a vestibular problem and I've consulted two sources. One source says it is benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. The other says it is Meniere麓s disease. You are right, movement is ususally required to trigger the symptoms of BPPV. It is not likely to be caused by sitting still since something needs to displace the otolith. Meniere's disease can occur with or without movement since is it more related to a build of pressure in the inner ear. Though Meniere's Disease will be worsened by the head position you have to exclude the cerebellum condition also. Hence better consult the doctor. youre right, more prob menieres. |
