Numbness, tingling, why? |
Past 2 weeks been feelin numbness and tingling in mostly fingers, but for the most part consistent, all day 24 hrs for the past 2wks, sometimes worse sometimes better. ocassionally i feel it in my toes or arms, and neck a couple times. i also feel in a daze and dizzy, cant explain it sometimes i feel like a pressure in my neck of back of the head like there is a weight there feels almost like i increased elevation and going to a mountain increased pressure, not sure if its the ears, but around my neck and head area. well anyway i went to ER they said peripheral neuropathy with hyperventilation and sent me home, i went to my doctor he said it was just anxiety, BUT there is no way this is just anxiety, you cant feel this way 24/7 from anxiety, how is it possible to feel tingle and numb fingers all day? i feel dizzy i have a feeling its Meniere's Disease, the tingling and numbness along with dizziness. Or maybe im developing diabities (but i scored a 93 thats norm) or multiple sclerosis Ive already asked this but i been takin antianxiety pills and i feel calmer and a little better but these symptoms persist, somtimes going away sometimes gettin worse, and right now i took a 1 hour nap when i woke up both my arms were extremely numb so i thought maybe i slept wrong, but then i noticed my legs and feet were numb and in slight pain as well, and it took about 4 or 5m to return to normal, the numbness everywhere went away, except im STILL feeling the numbness in my fingers and pressure in my neck or ears, if anyone can help with this i would appreciateit, im planning on gettin a second opinion this does not sound like anxiety, im thinkin either multiple sclerosis, menieres disease (although im not experience rotational vertigo) or possible epilepsy, maybe fibromyalgia, due to numbness/dizziness. i don understand how the doctor never checked for pinched nerve, anemmia, diabeties or anything else and decided it was anxiety, anyone have any thoughts before i see doc? thanks I agree! Spend your time telling the doc everything wrong - skip telling the doc what you think it is - let him/her do the work - that is their job. Besides if you tell the doc what your diagnoses are he/she WILL decide you just have some mental illness!! Stop getting your medical information from the internet. If the doctor said there's nothing wrong with you, why are you determined that there is? You need to calm down, get more exercise and drink more water. Have your doctor check, among other things, for Peripheral Neuropathy. I have this in my legs and arms and face. But go to a doctor not to the Internet, and definitely not to yahoo answers. |
