Melanoma--?

can you get a melanoma on a place that is never exposed to the sun? like on your genitals?

well i do have a mole there, but i mean, i dont want to strip down in front of a doctor...im 14 and have dignity...

Yes, it is not uncommon to have melanoma of the genitals.
Regardless of the part of anatomy Melanoma is very serious. If you have a mole or suspicious lesion please have it checked immediately.

Yes, a comon place for melanoma is the lower back.

Yes you can. The sun is one contributing factor in skin cancer, but like other cancers we really don't know the "cause". And it can appear anywhere on the body.

yes u can .find a spot have it check out..better safe than sorry

Pride could kill you...You may "have dignity" but if you are concerned that you have any problems "anywhere" you need to see a doctor and forget your foolish pride.

Don't worry - they've seen it all and won't laugh at yours.

i am not a dr. so i'm not sure about that but i do no you can die of vanity or pride as you say when it comes to cancer!!! my grandmother died of breast cancer, she worked for a dr. who specialized in cancer, but her vanity, pride, or whatever you want to call it stopped her from having it diagnosed when she first felt the lump. even though she knew what to look for... she was a married woman, she wouldn't disrobe in front of another man!! i know that it was many moons ago. but i know that people who at that same time who reported these symptoms to their dr. may be old but still alive!! please don't take that kind of chance. theres so much of life you have to live. pride is not a good enough excuse! you have family tell someone and they can go with you for support while u see the dr.

O.K. When you see a doctor even for your genitals, you don't loose your dignity. These have learned the anatomy in it's depth and don't worry they're not after looking your genitals! Dont worry and take care!

look online to compare pictures of melanoma to what you have, moles aren't that uncommon in places that are unexposed

yES YOU CAN GET MELANOMA WITH OUT YOUR GENTIALS BEING IN THE SUN. IT IS CAUSED FROM A BUI;D UP OF THE SUN OVER A PERIOD OF TIME.
