why is melanoma found more often in women then in men? and i read that women get cancer in the back of their legs, and in men it is found usually on the back. Also, why does getting a sunburn increase the likelyhood of getting melanoma? oh ok, so actually it is found more frequently in men. thank you! That is odd, I had heard melanoma is found LESS commonly in women then men- they think its due to the protective effect of oestrogen.
