How likely is it that I have Melanoma?

I have several spots on my skin that were basically brought to my freaked out attention by my mother. I know that it could be an overreaction, but how common are the symptoms of Melanoma without it actually being Melanoma? I have all of them, ABC and D.

Melanoma can strike at any age and on any spot on the body, including the bottom of someones foot. If you suspect melanoma than you should make an appointment with a dermatologist who can examine you thoroughly.

There is no way anyone here would know. A lot depends upon your ethnic background, the amount of time you spent outside, and your family predisposition to cancer. Go your doctor and have him/her have a look. It is too important to leave to guessing, and an early check up can save you much grief.

if you get out in the sun alot, it could just be sun spots, but you need to go to the doc.

I was diagnosed with melanoma at the age of 26, if it is caught early it is very treatable. if you have any concerns please see a dermatologist. stay safe in the shade and WEAR sunscreen
