Could This Be Melanoma?

Last year I had a mole removed on my right arm that I thought was suspicious. Everything came back fine, but a mole (or part of a mole) grew back in it's place. This past week, I've noticed that it looks a little dry and swollen, maybe just raised a little.

It looks like there is a little red spot at the bottom of it, too.

My question is, could this be melanoma? The first mole came back fine, but could melanoma have grown back in it's place.

I apologize if this is a stupid question, but I do tan (I know how bad it is, I really have to quit), so it does scare me.

Any help is appreciated!

Go to your Dr, only expert advise can tell, no-one on here can see it in person to give a diagnosis. I know you're scared but the sooner you go the better - you know that. And you know to stop tanning!!

moles appears when we're young and at age 25. even if your previous biopsy revealed benign, you should have it checked again. it would be advisable to have it biopsied again if it has discoloration, elevation, or irregular borders.

i got a red dot on a bottom of my mole to just like u described it and i checked it out and it was fine. but ya go to a dermetologist just so they make sure it takes like 3 minuts. he just looks at it and knows if its fine right away.
