Dose basal cell cancer increase my risk of melanoma?

I have had basal cell cancer removed 4 times and now have two more spots that I can see. Dose this mean I will have trouble with melanoma?

No relationship between the two cancers other than the UVA exposure that probably caused the basal cell is also a potential trigger for developing melanoma. Basal cell and melanoma develop in different cell types of the skin and that is why there is no direct relationship. Consider Moh's surgery for your persistent basal cell. good luck

No relationship
