Natural cures for melanoma?

I have melanoma, and my doctor does not know why since I have no sun damage and no family history of it. Seeing that the sun did not cause it, and staying out of the sun is an obvious but not relevant answer- is there anything that I can take, or a diet that may get rid of my cancer? My doctor is suggesting I go through chemo but I'd rather not just yet.

Melanoma is the most serious form of skin cancer. However, if it is recognized and treated early, it is nearly 100 percent curable. But if it is not, the cancer can advance and spread to other parts of the body, where it becomes hard to treat and can be fatal. While it is not the most common of the skin cancers, it causes the most deaths. The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2007, there will be 59,940 new cases of melanoma in the United States.

Honey, it doesn't matter how you got it. You have it. I have lost 2 dear friends to this because it wasn't caught early enough. Get a second opinion, if you must, but it has to be treated aggressively and immediately.

I'm adding this to my answer and giving you the source:
How is it treated?
The treatment plan takes into account the type of melanoma, its location, whether it has begun to spread, and the person's age and health. The standard treatments are:

Surgery - remove the melanoma and a ring of tissue around it (to make sure no cancer cells were missed)
Chemotherapy - to kill cancer cells that have spread throughout the body
Immunotherapy - interferon-alfa and interleukin-2 may be given to help the body's immune system prevent a recurrence of the melanoma
Radiation therapy - to kill cancer cells that may have spread beyond the tumor.
The good news
If melanoma is diagnosed early and removed before it begins to spread it is almost 100% curable
(and the word curable was used).

Here is the web link for clinical trials by state for melanoma. I think I'd be looking at all the options. good luck

Go through the chemo

You need another Doctor. Melanoma is very serious and you need surgery to get rid of it. My Doctor said Chemo would not help Melanoma. You need a good check up every 6 months and check your body for any new spots or any changes in the spots you have now. The Internet has a lot of good information on Melanoma.

There are no cures for cancer. Remission is the word. Sometimes remissions can be life long. Cure implies no possibility of recurrence.

If melanoma is caught early enough, it can be removed with local outpatient surgery. If not, chemotherapy is used adjuvant or primary if it is diagnosed in a later stage.

Other treatment possiblities with some possible effectiveness include interferon and melanoma vaccines. I have read of some success with the melanoma vaccine clinical trials.

Prompt treatment of any cancer usually provides survival benefit. So, get a second opinion if you want but, I would suggest you not wait to undergo treatment.

So-called "natural cures" have no proven effectiveness and no rationale of effectiveness. Alternative treatments can be used as complementary therapy as long as there are no negative interactions with conventional therapy.

Standard treatment for melanoma is surgical excision with wide borders unless the melanoma has spread into the lymph nodes. If you actually have melanoma then you need to learn more about the disease, see a different Dr very soon (preferably a melanoma specialist) and quit messing around looking for magic bullet cures since there are none that are effective for this very dangerous type of cancer.

You said in another question that you are 19 years old. If this is true and you really do have melanoma then you really need to get proper medical treatment immediately or the other question you asked will be irrelevant.

Go through chemo but take some things to help.

Green Magma can help the body to be alkaline and help with vitamins.
Biobran can boost imune sistem.
Green tea 1L per day can help slow the cancer.
Turmeric (curcuma) can help stop metastasis.
And a lotion of pure Aloe Vera in the melanoma place can help too.
