Medicare reimbursement for time loss at work.? |
I am an RN in Michigan, my father was diagnosed with glioblastoma brain tumor. I have been taking care of him for the last 3 weeks. He is a full time care and I had to take a leave of absent from my hospital. Can medicare reimburse me for my time loss from work for taking care of my father. Can this be considered as home care. check it out first but i don't think so because he is a "family member" just like a physician is not suppose to bill for "family members" Yes if you have a home care license and bill it out as such I very much doubt it as you did not arrange to be his "caregiver" with medicare before hand. But you can always call the department of social and health services and find out. |
